Blind Boone

Ethnography Project

The Foundation plans to establish an Ethnography Center in the Boone home. Ethnography is the study of documenting oral histories, through creative writing, video, audio, photojournalism, performance art  and interactive media. It is appropriate to establish such a center and program under Boone’s name given that his life story was not well documented, and despite the fact that he was a world-famous musician few people today know who he is.

The Ethnography Center will offer programs to teach these skills to young people and their work will be displayed throughout the home. Needs for the center will include computers, video frames and screens and furnishings. If you are interested in helping support the ethnography center, please contact us.
